What does FDR mean?
- What does FDR mean in FPL?
- FDR stands for Fixture Difficulty Rating. Every Premier League fixture is rated from 1 (easiest) to 5 (hardest) for each side, so you can judge how kind a club's upcoming run is before you transfer a player in.
- How is the fixture ticker calculated?
- For each club we take the difficulty of every fixture inside your chosen window and add them together. A lower total means an easier run. Double gameweeks add both fixtures, and a blank gameweek contributes nothing but is flagged so you do not plan around a match that is not happening.
- How many gameweeks ahead should I plan?
- Three to six gameweeks is the usual planning window. Shorter than three and you are reacting to a single fixture; longer than six and rotation, injuries and fixture rescheduling make the picture unreliable.
- What is a fixture swing?
- A fixture swing is a club whose run changes sharply — hard fixtures now, easy fixtures soon, or the reverse. Swings are where transfers earn most of their value, because you can buy in just before a run turns and sell before it turns bad.
- What is xFDR?
- xFDR is FPL Toolkit's alternative fixture model. It rates every match separately for the expected result, attacking opportunity and clean-sheet opportunity on a continuous 1.0 to 5.0 scale, where 3.0 is an average Premier League fixture. Near-term fixtures can reflect current market information; longer-range fixtures are model forecasts.
